Analytics Data

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use HedgeTrace. This automatically collects information such as your IP address, browser type, device information, operating system, referring URLs, and pages visited. This data is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

Account Information

When you create a HedgeTrace account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed version of your password. We may also store your preferences and settings to personalize your experience.

Newsletter & Communications

If you subscribe to our newsletter or email updates, we collect your email address. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link included in every email.

How We Use Your Information

• Analytics: To understand site usage, improve performance, and make HedgeTrace more useful.
• Email: To send newsletters, product updates, and important service notifications.
• Account data: To authenticate you, maintain your session, and personalize your experience.

Cookies

HedgeTrace uses the following types of cookies:

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _gid, and related cookies) — used to distinguish users and throttle request rates. These expire after up to 2 years.
• Session cookies — used to keep you logged in and maintain your authenticated session. These expire when you log out or after a period of inactivity.

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate HedgeTrace:

• Google Analytics — website analytics and usage tracking.
• Vercel — website hosting and delivery.
• Supabase — database hosting. Our database contains only publicly available SEC filing data — no personally identifiable information is stored there.

Each of these providers has their own privacy policies governing how they handle data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Data is only shared with the third-party service providers listed above, solely to operate and improve HedgeTrace.

Data Retention

Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics default settings (currently 14 months). Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will remove your personal data within 30 days.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time.

Children's Privacy

HedgeTrace is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of HedgeTrace after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
